The Greater Paris Region

The city walls are long gone. The public transportation network gives travelers and residents quick access to the greater Paris region. There’s Versailles, of course, but also Fontainebleau, Vaux-le-Vicomte, Barbizon, Chantilly, Auvers-sur-Oise, the Chevreuse Valley and other notable places in the surrounding region that make for easy daytrips and relaxing overnights.
