I got to know a lot of employees in these US facilities. These hotels sold to working people that traveled for their companies. The hotel employees knew that if they even had a social drink with a guest, that they risked getting fired.

I think things have changed these days, both with guests and with employees, at least with the so-called luxery establishments.
