Alliance Francaise de Providence raises funds to move ahead

It turns out that size doesn’t matter after all. Rhode Island, our smallest state, has one of the country’s most active Alliance Francaise groups in the Alliance Francaise de Providence.

Reflecting the good health of Francophilia in the first state of the union, the AF de Providence is set to move to new premises this summer.

After 11 years at the Music Mansion, the Alliance has now purchased a new permanent home at 928 Smith Street in Providence. Purchased but not yet paid for.

The Alliance is therefore looking to raise a final $30,000 before closing on July 1st. France Revisited is happy to pass on the information about this worthy cause to our readers.

On May 8th, the AF de Providence will be holding a fundraising event called “Moving ahead with the Alliance.” You can naturally still donate without attending.

For further information about making a tax deductible Francophile donation contact AF de Providence President Dominique Gregoire or Director Magali Boutiot at 401-272-6243 or by email at afprovidence@cox.net.
